hey guys i have a chevy with a 5.0L v8 and it runs horribly. when u stomp on the gas it just dies, then revvs up and down on its own and sounds really ragged. after u drive around it stars to idle like a drag racer and wants to stall. i changed the fuel filter, coil and injectors and it didnt change a thing. plugs all look clean. any ideas what it might be?

I know the problem....................Its a GM!

and if i remember right the fuel pump is under the intake and they are pron to start leaking
but it sounds like a vacuum leak to me
take come carb cleaner and spray it around the vacuum lines while it is running
if it starts to die MORE check that area
auto-zone can run their scanner on your truck for free too

what year model is the truck?....pull the air breather off and look on the back passengers side of the throttle body, theres a round deal with a plug in it that threads into the throttle body. its called a idle air something...they went out quite often and caused a rash of retarded shyt that idle control stuff shouldnt cause. it may also be the main injector goin out. i can help you more though if i know the year

i bet you it is a 98ish and your fuel injection "spider" is bad. it is the feed to all your injectors under your intake. read up on it chevy's were bad for that.

there is also a oil pressure sensor on the top back of the block that goes bad and causes erratic running also on 88 - 98 5.0 GM.
