Has it ever run? Does it start and run now? More information would help in diagnosing the problem. I would check your timing-if it's off significantly it will turn over slowly. Is the battery charged fully?

hey, how cold is it there, and what oil do you have in it? this unusual cold can cause starting problems.

YOU CAN'T ASSUME ITS FINE WITHOUT MEASURING IT WITH A PLASTI Guage or a Micrometer. This is the mistake most of you people make... by half assing your enignes and than junking the truck after 10,000 miles cause it blows up.

Mikewarme is right. you need to swing by an oriellys and rent out a micrometer.(for crank end play) Plastigauge. its like a really REALLY thin piece of wax string. (pick it up from just about any auto part store. dont know if they sell it in different colors but if they do then get something that you can easily see. check the end play in the crank with the micrometer and look up the specs. if you want then give me the info on the truck, motor, year, all that and i will get the specs and directions for all this stuff. (love having a proffesional repair website for any and all cars!) for the plastigauge. take of the cover for the crank and pull the main bearing holders that hold the crank down. snip a small piece of the gauge off lay it straight on the crank where the bearing will be then tourqe it down then again pull it off and measure how wide the gauge is now(left to right) check specs. if its in spec then its not oversized bearings. if it is then buddy you got way to thick bearings or torqued it down wrong. you need all the specs for this stuff then pm me and ill pull what i can off and make thread with all the engine specs and directions. (directions in this site are sooo much better than chiltons manuals)
